But many suburban developments have streets running diagonally — which means the house faces, say, north-northeast. These intermediate directions require careful interpretation in Vastu.

Scheduling Across Time Zones

The time zone gap between India and the US is the biggest logistical hurdle, and I won't pretend it's trivial. IST is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of EST and 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of PST. That means my daytime is your night, and vice versa.

Here's what works in practice: I keep early morning IST slots — typically 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM IST — which translates to 8 PM to 10 PM EST the previous evening, and 5 PM to 7 PM PST. For weekend consultations, we can be more flexible. Saturday morning slots (IST) align with Friday evening US time, which many working professionals find ideal.
