Vastu Consultation for Indian Families in Australia
If you're an Indian living in Australia and wondering whether Vastu can still work across the distance — it absolutely can. I've been consulting NRI clients in Australia for several years now, and the time zone difference is actually one of the most manageable of all international locations. AEST is only 4.5 hours ahead of IST, and AEDT (during daylight saving) is almost perfectly aligned. We can usually find a session time that works without anyone staying up too late.
Why So Many Indian Australians Are Turning to Vastu
There's a specific emotional experience that comes with buying or renting your first home abroad. You want it to feel right — not just practically, but in a deeper sense. A lot of the Indian community in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth reach out after a major life event: a new home purchase, a business launch, or a period of unexplained difficulty that's leaving them unsettled.
The good news is that Vastu principles don't change based on geography. The five elements — earth, water, fire, air, space — operate the same way in Parramatta as they do in Pune. The magnetic compass reads the same directions. What changes is the style of home, the layout conventions, and the way the sun moves (remember, in Australia the sun tracks north, not south — but Vastu is based on the magnetic compass, not the sun's arc, so the principles remain exactly the same).
How the Online Consultation Works from Australia
The process is entirely digital and quite straightforward. You send me your floor plan — a photo of the builder's plan, a hand-drawn sketch, or a digital file all work — via WhatsApp. I review it using a compass overlay and identify the directions of every room, entry, kitchen, and bedroom. Then we have a video call on Zoom or Google Meet where I walk you through everything: what's working, what's causing concern, and what specific changes will help.
Most Australian homes I've consulted on are single-storey or double-storey detached homes with generous backyards — very different from Indian apartments. I'm experienced with these layouts. Things like garages attached to the home (very common in Australia), open-plan living areas, and large west-facing backyards all have clear Vastu guidance, and I cover all of this during the consultation.
Share your floor plan on WhatsApp — we'll find a session time that works in AEST/AEDT.

Scheduling: AEST and AEDT Work Beautifully
AEST is IST +4 hours 30 minutes. AEDT (daylight saving, roughly October to April) is IST +5 hours 30 minutes — that's almost exactly the same as IST. This means if it's 10am in India, it's 2:30pm or 3:30pm in most of Australia. We can schedule sessions during my regular working hours (9am–7pm IST) that land comfortably in your afternoon. It's one of the best timezone overlaps I work with.
Most Australian consultations happen over a single session of 60–75 minutes. For larger homes or more complex floor plans, I sometimes suggest a follow-up. The online consultation fee is ₹51,000 (approximately AUD 745), and includes the video call, a detailed written summary of recommendations, and two follow-up messages if you have questions after the session.
If you'd like to know more about how the process works end-to-end, you can read the full overview on our online Vastu consultation page.
At Prestigious Vastu, we've helped Indian families across Australia create homes that feel as right energetically as they look architecturally.
